Indeed, I have known her unjust reproaches, just as

the hand of the generous Ibn Qutb al-Din is known for generosity.

O you whose gracious favors I have worn about my neck,

which revived my hope, as those blessed with bounty hope.

If your goodness has come to fill every hand,

then do not fault the thanks offered you or the petitioners.

Such are capable leaders: there is no

withholding, nor any part of justice infringed.

The armies’ troops are part of a host he equips,

and excellent is the host of prayer in the deepest darkness.
