كذاthus أبداًforever ياO آلhouse of أيوبAyyub ملككمyour dominion
كذا أبداً يا آل أيوب ملككم
لهit has بالندىthrough generosity فيin الشرقِthe East والغربِand the West إطلاقfree rein
له بالندى في الشرقِ والغربِ إطلاق
Ever thus, O house of Ayyub, your dominion
Forever thus, O Ayyub's kin, your rule
has free rein through generosity in East and West.
Extends through East and West, without constraint,
إذاwhen ما(emphatic particle) سقيتمyou water بالعطاwith bounty نباتكمyour plant
إذا ما سقيتم بالعطا نباتكم
توالتfollow in succession ثمارٌfruits منfrom نداهits dew وأوراقand leaves
توالت ثمارٌ من نداه وأوراق
When you water your plant with bounty,
If you should water with your gifts the shoots,
fruits and leaves follow in succession from its dew.
Fruits from its dew and leaves would flow in train.
وإنِّيand indeed I وإنand even though عِيقتhas been hindered عنfrom السعيthe striving حجَّتيmy pilgrimage
وإنِّي وإن عِيقت عن السعي حجَّتي
إلىfor وقفةٍa moment of standing فيat ذلكthat البابthe gate مشتاقlonging
إلى وقفةٍ في ذلك الباب مشتاق
And I, though my pilgrimage has been kept from proceeding,
Though obstacles have stayed me from the quest,
long to stand at that gate.
To pause before that door I still am fain.
