O friend of mine—rather, O master whose hand

is the hand of the caliphs in kindness to me and in setting my affairs right.

إن كانَ جاهك مهديّ المصير إلى

إن كانَ جاهك مهديّ المصير إلى

قصدي فإنَّ ندَى كفَّيك إصلاحي

قصدي فإنَّ ندَى كفَّيك إصلاحي

If your standing is my guide on the journey toward

my goal, then the bounty of your two hands is what sets my affairs right.
