لوالدكَ الممدوح مرأًى مباركٌ

لوالدكَ الممدوح مرأًى مباركٌ

ولولاك في عليائِهِ لم يشارَكِ

ولولاك في عليائِهِ لم يشارَكِ

Your praised father has a blessed appearance;

But for you, none would share his lofty rank.

فإن تروَ أخبار التقى عنك والعلى

فإن تروَ أخبار التقى عنك والعلى

فإنك عبد الله وابن المبارَكِ

فإنك عبد الله وابن المبارَكِ

And if accounts of piety and eminence are related about you,

For you are ʿAbd Allāh—God’s servant—and son of al-Mubārak, the blessed one.
