أحسن بها يا سيِّدي أنعماً

لم أرها إلا لكم تُنسبُ

لم أرها إلا لكم تُنسبُ

How splendid these favors are, my lord!

I have seen them attributed to you alone.

فلم أقلْ حين فشا عرْفها

فلم أقلْ حين فشا عرْفها

من أين هذا النفَسُ الطيب

من أين هذا النفَسُ الطيب

So when their fragrance spread, I did not say:

“Where does this sweet breath come from?”
