ولمand did not تستشرconsult فيabout أمرِهاher affair غيرَother than نفسهاherself
ولم تستشر في أمرِها غيرَ نفسها
ولمand did not ترضَaccept إلاَّexcept قائمَthe hilt of السيفِthe sword صاحباas a companion
ولم ترضَ إلاَّ قائمَ السيفِ صاحبا
And she consulted none but herself about her own affair,
and accepted none but the sword’s hilt as a companion.
