إذاwhen اجتمعتassembled أربابmen of فضلmerit وسؤددand eminence
To the foes’ chagrin, we have lost you, peerless
When men of merit and eminence assembled.
دعتكsummoned you المناياdeath فاقتفيتso you followed سبيلهاits path
وتلكand that سبيلٌa path لستyou are not فيهاon it بأوحدalone
Death summoned you, and you followed its path;
And that is a path on which you are not alone.
