بكby you الربعthe abode مأهولinhabited المنازلthe dwellings والدهرand the age
بك الربع مأهول المنازل والدهر
Congratulations on your noble pilgrimage—and how lovely
Congratulations on your noble pilgrimage, and may
Are the abode, its dwellings peopled by you, and the age!
The neighborhood, with its inhabited homes and ages, bless you.
كذاthus فليعدso let him return منwhoever عادreturned مقبولaccepted حجةa pilgrimage
كذا فليعد من عاد مقبول حجة
لهfor him الذكرrenown فيat كلevery المنازلthe stopping places والأجرand the reward
له الذكر في كل المنازل والأجر
Thus let whoever returns return, his pilgrimage accepted;
Thus may he whose pilgrimage is accepted return,
His are renown at every stopping place and reward.
With remembrance in every home and reward.
يحنّyearns اشتياقاًwith longing نحوtoward رؤيتهseeing him الصفاal-Safa (the hill)
يحنّ اشتياقاً نحو رؤيته الصفا
ويملأand is filled دمعاًwith tears بعدafter فرقتهparting from him الحجرal-Hijr (the enclosure)
ويملأ دمعاً بعد فرقته الحجر
Al-Safa yearns with longing to see him,
Yearning longingly to see it at Al-Safa,
And al-Hijr is filled with tears after parting from him.
And filling with tears after parting from Al-Hajar.
