وبوجه مولود لكم ما أزهره
Congratulations, family of al-Shahid, on your star,
Congratulate the martyr's family on your star
And on the face of your newborn—how radiant it is!
And on the face of your newborn, how it shines
منfrom قبلbefore ماthat عملتwas performed لديهin his presence عقيقةaqiqah (birth sacrifice)
من قبل ما عملت لديه عقيقة
عملتfashioned لهfor him المدحthe praises الجواريflowing جوهرهhis jewel
عملت له المدح الجواري جوهره
Before an aqiqah sacrifice was performed for him,
Before you sacrifice for him, I sang his praise
Flowing praises had fashioned his jewel for him.
