ياO عاذليmy reproacher لستyou are not مثليlike me فيin هوًىlove وجوىand heartache
يا عاذلي لست مثلي في هوًى وجوى
فخلّso desist باللهby God عنfrom لوميblaming me وعنand from عذليreproaching me
فخلّ بالله عن لومي وعن عذلي
O my reproacher, you are not like me in love and heartache.
So, by God, cease blaming and reproaching me.
أضحىhas become لريَّانfor a full-rounded ردفٍrump قدindeed علاrose high ورباand swelled
أضحى لريَّان ردفٍ قد علا وربا
ياO حبَّذاhow splendid جبلMount الريَّانal-Rayyan منas a جبلmountain
يا حبَّذا جبل الريَّان من جبل
A full-rounded rump has now risen high and swelled—
Ah, how splendid a mountain is Mount al-Rayyan!
