  1. لنون صدغك آيةٌ فتنت

    بحسنها كلّ طامح الطرف

    The nūn-shaped curl at your temple bears a sign that has bewitched

    with its beauty everyone who lifts his gaze.

  2. يسبِّح الله حين يبصرها

    فيا له عابداً على حرف

    He glorifies God when he beholds it—

    so what a worshipper he is, upon a letter!
