تهنّ يا مجزل العطايا
قدومthe arrival of شهرa month لهit has طلاوَهcharm
قدوم شهر له طلاوَه
Rejoice, O lavish bestower of gifts,
at the arrival of a month endowed with charm.
حلاit grew sweet وأثنىand spoke praise عليكof you صدقاًtruthfully
حلا وأثنى عليك صدقاً
فهوso it is إذاًthen صادقgenuine الحلاوَهsweetness
فهو إذاً صادق الحلاوَه
It grew sweet and praised you truthfully;
so its sweetness is indeed genuine.
