O my lord, have pity on a plight

upon whose temple hardship's touch has grown.

وقد مضى الصوم ولي مقلة

وقد مضى الصوم ولي مقلة

ما نظرت قطراً سوى دمعها

ما نظرت قطراً سوى دمعها

And the fast has passed, while I have an eye

that has seen no drop except its own tears.
