And benevolence, blessings, and gracious favors.

وبقيت ممدوح العلا عيناً لها

ألِف الندى ولكلّ ملك كافي

And may you remain, praised by glory, its eye,

An intimate of generosity, sufficient for every king.

يا صاحب القلم الذي في بابِهِ

يا صاحب القلم الذي في بابِهِ

عُرف وعَرف ندى بغير خلاف

عُرف وعَرف ندى بغير خلاف

O master of the pen, at whose door

Are kindness and the fragrance of generosity, beyond dispute.
