قلت إذ حدّثني الفت

ح وَوَفاني بمنح

ح وَوَفاني بمنح

I said, when I was addressed by al-Fat—

—h, and he bestowed gifts upon me:

كيف أثمارُ حديثي

كيف أثمارُ حديثي

قال فضيٌ وفتحي

قال فضيٌ وفتحي

“How are the fruits of my speech?”

He said, “Silvery and Fath-related.”
