وبديعand wondrous الجمالِbeauty زينَwas adorned بخالٍwith a mole
وبديع الجمالِ زينَ بخالٍ
ساكنٍresting فوقَupon أشرفthe noblest of الوجناتcheeks
ساكنٍ فوقَ أشرف الوجنات
And one of wondrous beauty was adorned with a mole
With perfect beauty adorned, aloof
Resting upon the noblest of cheeks.
Dwelling above the most noble gardens
إنif تشكىit complains بهاon them الحريقَburning فممَّاthen because of
إن تشكى بها الحريقَ فممَّا
فتنَbeguiled المؤمنينbelieving men والمؤمناتand believing women
فتنَ المؤمنين والمؤمنات
If it complains of burning there, it is because
If it sets hearts aflame, it is only
It has beguiled believing men and believing women.
