وبروحي المشروط في الحدّ يقرأ

منه لحظ الكئيب أحسن خط

منه لحظ الكئيب أحسن خط

And my soul would ransom the one incised at the edge; there is read

With my soul conditioned on the covenant, he reads

Upon him, by the sorrowful one's gaze, the fairest script.

In it, the moment of sorrow, the finest script

أعلن الشرط داعياً لهواه

أعلن الشرط داعياً لهواه

فغدتْ مهجتي جواباً لشرط

فغدتْ مهجتي جواباً لشرط

He proclaimed the condition, inviting love for himself,

Declaring the condition, calling for his passion

So my heart became an answer to a condition.

So my inner being became an answer to the covenant
