  1. ألا لله ما أزكى فعالاً

    وأقوالاً وما أجدى وأندى

    Ah, by God, how noble you are in deeds

    and words—how beneficent and generous!

  2. رقيت إلى النجوم فجئت منها

    بأحسن صورةٍ تهدي وتهدى

    You ascended to the stars and came from them

    with the fairest form, which guides and is given as a gift.

  3. ولما أن بعثت بها نثاراً

    نظمنا من حلاها المدح عقدا

    And when you sent it forth as a shower of gifts,

    we strung a necklace of praise from its adornments.
