They linked him in beauty to the crescent moon, and his eye

Is linked to the gazelle—may you never be struck by his eye!

فإذا بدا فإلى هلالٍ أصله

فإذا بدا فإلى هلالٍ أصله

وإذا رنا فهو الغزال بعينه

وإذا رنا فهو الغزال بعينه

So when he appears, his lineage goes back to a crescent moon;

And when he gazes, he is the gazelle itself.
