رأينا تواقيع تاج الزمان
وفيهاand in them منof الفضلِexcellence معنىa meaning جليّclear
وفيها من الفضلِ معنى جليّ
We saw the signatures of Taj al-Zaman,
We saw the signatures of the crown of time
And in them is a clear expression of excellence.
In them the meaning of merit was clear
بنسكٍin devotion وجودٍand generosity وحفظand memorization أجادhe excelled
بنسكٍ وجودٍ وحفظ أجاد
فقلتُso I said الثلاثةthe three حظّshare الوليّthe saint
فقلتُ الثلاثة حظّ الوليّ
He excelled in devotion, generosity, and memorization;
With devotion, existence, and protection excelling
So I said: the three are the saint’s share.
So I said the three are the fortune of the saint
