أرأيت بدراً قد سفر

كن ما على وجهٍ أثر

كن ما على وجهٍ أثر

A full moon that delights the eye,

The moon that delights the eye

yet his face bears no trace.

Yet no trace remains on its face

كسناء نور الدين ذي ال

كسناء نور الدين ذي ال

أفضال والفضل الأغرّ

أفضال والفضل الأغرّ

Like the radiance of Nur al-Din, endowed with

Like the light of Nur ad-Din, the one with

bounties and radiant excellence.

Bounty and outstanding merit

دمتم بني حجر الكرا

دمتم بني حجر الكرا

م لكم فخارٌ معتبر

م لكم فخارٌ معتبر

May you endure, noble sons of Hajar;

Long may you last, O noble sons of Hijr

yours is honor worthy of esteem.

You are of esteemed and honoured lineage

أهل المعالي والعلو

أهل المعالي والعلو

م لمن وعى ولمن نظر

م لمن وعى ولمن نظر

People of lofty attainments and learning,

O people of high station and knowledge

for whoever understands and whoever observes.

For those who understand and perceive

والنسبة العلياء قد

والنسبة العلياء قد

شيدت بأبناءٍ أخر

شيدت بأبناءٍ أخر

And the exalted lineage has

Your lofty ancestry was built

been raised high by other sons.

By other praiseworthy sons

شيمٌ زكت من أولٍ

شيمٌ زكت من أولٍ

وسعادة لحظت حجر

وسعادة لحظت حجر

Virtues that flourished from the beginning,

A nature refined from the first

and good fortune that cast its gaze upon Hajar.

And good fortune smiled on Hijr
