إليك ابنُ عبَّاس سرى حامل الرَّجا

إليك ابنُ عبَّاس سرى حامل الرَّجا

فأغنيت من فقر وآمنت من باس

فأغنيت من فقر وآمنت من باس

To you, Ibn Abbas, the bearer of hope journeyed by night.

To you, Ibn Abbas, I confide my hopes,

So you freed him from poverty and made him safe from harm.

Bearer of solace, you have enriched me in my poverty and secured me from affliction.

وفي بابك العالي تفسَّرت المنى

وفي بابك العالي تفسَّرت المنى

ومن أين للتفسيرِ مثل ابن عبَّاس

ومن أين للتفسيرِ مثل ابن عبَّاس

And at your lofty gate, wishes found their interpretation.

At your lofty door my desires are fulfilled,

And where could interpretation find the like of Ibn Abbas?

For who is like Ibn Abbas in exegesis?
