throughout the lands as news and as bearers of news.

News of all the lands' borders it relayed,

رقمت ثياب غصونه إبر الحَيا

رقمت ثياب غصونه إبر الحَيا

والرقم أحسن ما يكونُ مزهرا

والرقم أحسن ما يكونُ مزهرا

Rain’s needles have embroidered the robes of its branches,

The branches' robes were embroidered by the needles of life,

and embroidery is loveliest when in bloom.

And the embroidery was most beautiful when flowering.
