ويهني الورى عامٌ بسعدِك آيب
May it gladden you, O eye of the age and its people,
Rejoice, O eye of time and its people,
and may a year returning with your good fortune gladden humankind.
And may the land rejoice in a year made joyous by your arrival.

The full moons adorn the wilds because of it,
and you have appeared—O God, what an eye and an eyebrow!
And in you, by God, are an eye and an eyebrow.
