وجدنا بها الأيام واضحة الأنس
May you enjoy, throughout your days, the robes of honor
The days are delighted by the robes
Through which we found the days radiant with joy.
In which we found the days clearly intimate.

ولم أرَ من أطواقها مطلع الشمس
Through them, the face of time and its people shone,
The face of time and its people shone through them,
And because of their collars, I could not see the sunrise.
Yet from its horizons I did not see the rising sun.
