داركنا حين أعيى أمرنا
My lord, thanks for your bounty, which
My master, thank you for your blessings that
came to our aid when our plight defied solution.
Surrounded us when our affairs grew weary
كمhow often تدللناwe acted coy لمنtoward those whom نقصدهwe seek
كم تدللنا لمن نقصده
وبنعماكand through your bounty تهذَّبwas refined قدرناour standing
وبنعماك تهذَّب قدرنا
How often we acted coy toward those we sought,
How you have indulged us towards whom we aspire
and through your bounty our standing was refined.
And by your blessings our fate is refined
