You settled by the Nile; had it not been for

If you lived by the Nile, you would not be

its neighbors, you would not have been with the healer.

A healer, were it not for your neighbors.

كفاكَ جيران نيل الأذى

كفاكَ جيران نيل الأذى

فحبَّذا النيّل بالكاف

فحبَّذا النيّل بالكاف

The Nile’s neighbors have given you harm enough;

The Nile's neighbors are enough harm for you-

so how delightful the Nile is—with a kāf!

So goodness in the 'K' is best for the Nile.
