يا سيدي دعوة من نفسِهِ
محصورةconfined فيin بيدقa pawn الحاشيهthe retinue
محصورة في بيدق الحاشيه
O my lord, a plea from his soul,
O my master, a call from his very soul
confined within a pawn of the retinue.
Confined in the banner of marginalia
ينهيhe submits إلىto همَّتكyour resolve المشتكىthe complaint
ينهي إلى همَّتك المشتكى
وإنَّماand only يشكوhe complains إلىto العاليهthe lofty one
وإنَّما يشكو إلى العاليه
He submits his complaint to your resolve,
Conveys to your determination the plaintiff
and complains only to the lofty one.
Yet only complains to the Most High
