Thus we always meet at every feast,

With fresh good fortune and a happy lot.

God bless you—how abundant is your sea,

With expansive bounty and far-reaching shade!

And you are the finest pillar, whose eminence restored

And raised the foundations of a lofty house.

If the houses of glory were composed in verse,

Your house would be the poem’s crowning verse.

Praise says of him, “Have I not cooed?

For you have encircled my neck with generosity.”

So, what a Feast of Sacrifice, whose joy

Says to verses of praise, “Repeat!”

In it, necklaces of praise are strung,

And in the sea, the stringing of necklaces is lovely.
