This is Eid—it has arrived, O refuge of Islam.

This is Eid, welcome O fever of Islam

It offers your countenance a thousand greetings and peace.

Bless your life, a thousand greetings and peace

والقاهُ بالبشر يا ابن السادة الأعلام

والقاهُ بالبشر يا ابن السادة الأعلام

واِنحر نحور الهموم وضحِّ بالأحزان

واِنحر نحور الهموم وضحِّ بالأحزان

And greet it with cheerfulness, O son of the illustrious lords.

And announce good news, O son of the greatest leaders

And slit the throats of cares, and offer sorrows in sacrifice.

And slaughter the sacrifices of worries and give up sorrows

واِضرب طبول المسرّه واِنشر الأعلام

واِضرب طبول المسرّه واِنشر الأعلام

And beat the drums of joy, and unfurl the banners.
