نَجمُthe star السُّهَىSuha نَيّرٌradiant يَسمُوrises عَلَىabove زُحَلِSaturn
نَجمُ السُّهَى نَيّرٌ يَسمُو عَلَى زُحَلِ
Ali, pride of humankind, possessor of dazzling excellences.

لَيثُlion of الثَّرَىthe earth مَورِدٌa watering place أَشهَىmore delectable مِنَthan العَسَلِhoney
لَيثُ الثَّرَى مَورِدٌ أَشهَى مِنَ العَسَلِ
بَدرُfull moon of البَهَاsplendor صُبحُdawn of لَيلِthe night of الحَادِثِthe calamity الجَلَلِgrave
بَدرُ البَهَا صُبحُ لَيلِ الحَادِثِ الجَلَلِ
Lion of the earth, a watering place more delectable than honey.

Lofty in his summits, smiter of heads and peaks.
Towering over the lofty, striking the clouds and summits
Mountain of wisdom, adornment of necks and dynasties.
Mountain of light, adornment of steeds and states
طِبُّadept at القِرَىhospitality أَجلٌdeath فِيin صُورَةِthe form of الرَّجُلِa man
طِبُّ القِرَى أَجلٌ فِي صُورَةِ الرَّجُلِ
رَوضٌa garden زَهَاbloomed مَنبَعُfountainhead of الآلاءِblessings والخَوَلِand wealth
رَوضٌ زَهَا مَنبَعُ الآلاءِ والخَوَلِ
A master of hospitality, death in the form of a man.
Fragrance of towns, most eminent in the form of a man
A blooming garden, fountainhead of blessings and wealth.
Garden bloomed, source of favors and bounties
بَحرٌa sea جَرَىflowed مَورِدِwatering place for العَسَّالَةِswaying spears الذُّبُلِslender
بَحرٌ جَرَى مَورِدِ العَسَّالَةِ الذُّبُلِ
مُعطِيbestower of اللّهَىlavish gifts نَجلُscion of خَيرِthe best of الخَلقِcreation والرُّسُلِand the messengers
مُعطِي اللّهَى نَجلُ خَيرِ الخَلقِ والرُّسُلِ
A flowing sea, watering place for swaying, slender spears.
Ocean that flowed, spring of dripping sweetness
Bestower of lavish gifts, scion of the best of creation and the messengers.
Grantor of refuge, progeny of the best of creation and messengers
مَقنَىenricher of الثَّرَىthe earth عَلَوِيٌّof Ali’s lineage طَاهِرُpure in الخُلَلِcharacter traits
مَقنَى الثَّرَى عَلَوِيٌّ طَاهِرُ الخُلَلِ
دَهرٌTime دَهَاoverwhelmed كَهفُrefuge of أَمنِsafety الخَائِفِthe fearful الوَجِلِtrembling
دَهرٌ دَهَا كَهفُ أَمنِ الخَائِفِ الوَجِلِ
Enricher of the earth, of Ali’s lineage, pure in character.
Shelter of the earth, flawless and pure Alawi
Time that overwhelms, a refuge of safety for the fearful and trembling.
An era that elapsed, cave of safety for the anxious fearful one
