ترفّعت عن رجا الأنذال همّتنا
ولوand even if دهتناassailed us اللياليthe nights ماnot أهمّتناtroubled us
ولو دهتنا الليالي ما أهمّتنا
Our resolve has risen above seeking favors from the ignoble.
We held our heads high and spurned the hopes of the lowly
And even if the nights assailed us, they would not trouble us.
Even if the nights have humbled us, we are not troubled

لاdo not تعتقدناthink that we نذلَّwe submit لهاto them ولوand even if متناwe died
لا تعتقدنا نذلَّ لها ولو متنا
And even if the vicissitudes of days sought us out with evil,
And if the turns of time have harmed us to evil
Do not think we would submit to them, even if we died.
Do not think us so weak to surrender, even in death

شعارنا الصبرُ والتفويض شيمتنا
Patience is our watchword, and entrusting matters to God is our way.
Patience and resignation are our motto and virtue
