لو أقسم المرءُ بالرحمنِ خالقه

لو أقسم المرءُ بالرحمنِ خالقه

بأنَّ بعضَ الورى لا شيءَ ما حنثا

بأنَّ بعضَ الورى لا شيءَ ما حنثا

If a man swore by the All-Merciful, his Creator,

If one swears by the Merciful, his Creator,

that some of humankind are nothing, he would not have sworn falsely.

That some of creation is nothing, he does not break his oath.

إن كان شيئاً فغير اللَه خالقهُ

إن كان شيئاً فغير اللَه خالقهُ

اللَهُ أكرمُ من أن يخلقَ العبثا

اللَهُ أكرمُ من أن يخلقَ العبثا

If such a person were anything, then someone other than God would be his creator;

If it is something, then other than God created it,

God is too noble to create futility.

And God is too generous to create in vain.
