Remain safe, Abu Yahya, for this sovereign state,

which has clothed the nights in the luster of dawns.

Rise in its service: the sword is in a horseman's hand,

who strikes with it, and the arrow in an arrow-shaper's hand.

Intercede, despite the distance between homes, for one who hopes,

who has offered praise though his home is far away.
