O racer in every contest for preeminence,
O you who run in every race of glory
Whose unhurried pace has wearied the winds in pursuit;
Tossed by the winds to catch up

Ever alert, the edges of his speech grow dewy,
Awakening, the edges of his words glisten
Smoothly flowing, while his understanding sears with burning heat.
Smooth, and his understanding scorches
ماnot حامِلٌa bearer خُطَطَthe duties المَهابَةِmajesty خامِلٌidle

ماقامَso long as he stands فيin العَلياءِthe heights يَنقُلُmoves ساقاa leg
No bearer of the duties of majesty is idle,
No carrier of grand plans stays dormant
So long as he strides upon the heights.
No one standing loftily moves a leg

Tormented, he keeps beating his day
A tortured soul still beats his days
With toil, and enraging his night with apprehension.
To sorrow, and anguishes his nights in pity
ماnot إِنemphasizing the negation يَسيرُhe sets out مَعَwith الصَباحِthe morning لِشَأنِهِfor his business

He does not set out with the morning on his business
No sooner does he walk in the morn for his quest
Until he tightens a belt along with the souls.
Than he ties up with souls a bond
