وتَيَقَّنَand he became certain أَنَّthat اللَهَGod أَكرَمُmost generous جيرَةٍneighbors
فَأَزمَعَso he resolved عَنfrom دارِthe abode of الحَياةِlife رَحيلاa departure
And he knew for certain that God is the most generous of neighbors,
And he was certain that God is the most generous of neighbors
so he resolved to depart from the abode of life.
So he intended to depart from the house of life
فَإِنfor if أَقفَرَتhave grown desolate مِنهُwithout him العُيونُthe eyes فَإِنَّهُthen indeed he

For if the eyes have grown desolate without him, he
And if eyes are deprived of him, then
has found in hearts a substitute for them.
Hearts have compensated for them as a replacement
وَلَمand never أَرَI saw أُنساًcompanionship قَبلَهُbefore him عادَturned into وَحشَةًloneliness

And never before him have I seen companionship turn to loneliness,
And I have not seen a companion whose absence turned into loneliness
or coolness upon the livers turn to burning thirst.
And coldness upon livers turned into boiling
وَمَنand whoever تَكُare أَيّامُdays السُرورِjoy قَصيرَةًbrief

And he with whom the days of joy are brief—
And whoever's days of happiness are short
long is the night of sorrow for him.
For him the night of sadness in it was long
