بالأمس بين يدي ذوي الأحوال
O peerless among scholars, had you seen me
yesterday before the men of spiritual states,
لرأيتyou would surely have seen نضواًan emaciated man مثلlike حرفٍa particle; a letter طالبٍseeking
لرأيت نضواً مثل حرفٍ طالبٍ
معنىmeaning وأسماءand nouns; and names بلاwithout أفعالverbs; deeds
معنى وأسماء بلا أفعال
you would have seen an emaciated man, like a particle seeking
meaning, and nouns without verbs.
