وغزالٍ لاح لي في حلَّةٍ

وغزالٍ لاح لي في حلَّةٍ

جمعتْ من كلِّ لونٍ مقترحْ

And a gazelle appeared to me in a robe

A gazelle appeared to me in a robe,

That brought together every chosen hue.

Gathering every alluring hue,

أشرقتْ ألوانها من وجههِ

أشرقتْ ألوانها من وجههِ

فهو مثلُ الشمس في قوس قزحْ

فهو مثلُ الشمس في قوس قزحْ

Its colors shone with light from his face,

Its colors shone from its radiant face,

So he is like the sun within a rainbow.

Like the sun in a rainbow's graceful arc.
