فحما الهم تجليها

The blossoms of her congratulations have bloomed;

The blossoms of her congratulations have risen;

they dispel the fever of care.

بالفتى الميمون طائره

سر دانيها وقاصيها

At the youth whose fortune is auspicious,

At the youth whose fortune is blessed,

her near and distant folk alike rejoice.

جاءت البشرى بمولده

للمعالي في أمانيها

With his birth, glad tidings came

Glad tidings of his birth have come

for lofty Glory, fulfilling her fondest hopes.

O Abū al-Mahdī, accept a congratulation

O Abu al-Mahdi, here is a congratulation,

whose bearer is the grace of pure devotion.

فاجن أزهار السرور به

فاجن أزهار السرور به

لقد طابت مجانيها

لقد طابت مجانيها

So pluck through him the blossoms of joy,

So pluck the blossoms of joy he brings;

for sweet indeed are the fruits they yield.

their harvests have indeed grown sweet.

فسماء الفضل مشرقة

فسماء الفضل مشرقة

من سجاياكم دراريها

من سجاياكم دراريها

The firmament of virtue shines,

For the sky of excellence is radiant;

its brilliant stars your noble qualities.

its shining stars spring from your virtues.

أنتم أقمارها وبكم

أنتم أقمارها وبكم

تشرف الأقمار تشبيها

تشرف الأقمار تشبيها

You are its moons, and through you

the moons themselves are honored by the likeness.
