1. يا أمة التوحيد صمداً صمدا

    قد أحكم الأمر وعاد جدا

    O nation of monotheism, onward, onward!

    The matter has been firmly settled and has become serious.

  2. فجردوا العزم وأوروا الزندا

    وجددوا بالسالفين عهدا

    So unsheathe your resolve and strike fire from the fire-stick.

    And renew a covenant with those who came before.

  3. إذا ألم الضيم هاجوا أسدا

    وازدحموا على المنايا حشدا

    Whenever oppression struck, they rose like lions,

    And surged toward death in a throng.

  4. إن العدى قد سلبونا المجدا

    أيام كان الحكم مستبدا

    Indeed, the foes have robbed us of glory,

    In the days when rule was despotic.

  5. وقد أعاد الله فينا السعدا

    حين رأى الإسلام نال جهدا

    And God has restored good fortune among us,

    When He saw that Islam had suffered hardship.

  6. فانتظموا بالاتحاد عقدا

    واغتنموا مكارماً وحمدا

    So join together through unity as a necklace.

    And gain noble virtues and praise.

  7. واقتبسوا العلم تناولوا الرشدا

    واستننجزوا من الزبور الوعدا

    And acquire knowledge; attain right guidance.

    And seek fulfillment of the promise in the Psalms:

  8. ان لكم بالانتصار عهدا

    اني رأيت الحر من تصدى

    Indeed, you have a pledge of victory.

    Indeed, I have seen that the free man is he who has risen to the challenge,

  9. شوقا إلى نيل العلى ووجدا

    وكابد النحل ليجنى الشهدا

    Longing to attain the heights, with ardent yearning,

    And braved the bees to gather honey.
