From the very heart of lofty honor

And unalloyed glory

نسب من نوره يشر

ق لألاء الصباح

Comes a lineage, from whose light shines

The radiance of morning.

سرى برياكم نسيم الصباح

فزادني شوقاً لكم وارتياح

The morning breeze drifted by with your fragrance,

So it increased my longing for you and my delight.

أقبل من دارين أم رامة

ونشر كم أم عبق المسك فاح

Did it come from Darin or Ramah?

And was it your fragrance or musk’s aroma that wafted?

وكيف لا اتبع دين الهوى

وقد بعثتم لي رسل الرياح

And how could I not follow the creed of love,

When you have sent me the winds as messengers?
