  1. لي وطن يحمي حمى عزه

    عن العدى شعب غيور شجاع

    I have a homeland whose sanctuary of honor is guarded

    against enemies by a zealous, valiant people.

  2. ما الأبلق الفرد ولا مارد

    أعز منه عصمة وامتناع

    Neither al-Ablaq al-Fard nor Marid

    is mightier than it in protection and impregnability.
