بنوه وأهلوه استقامت شؤونه
When, to set a homeland’s condition right, there rise
If the reform of a homeland’s affairs is undertaken
its sons and its people, its affairs are set aright.
By its sons and people, its affairs are set right.
وانand if هوit لمdid not يكسرbreak جفونthe sheaths of سيوفهits swords
وان هو لم يكسر جفون سيوفه
اخيفit was frightened فلمand so were not تكحلlined with kohl بغمضwith sleep جفونهits eyelids
اخيف فلم تكحل بغمض جفونه
And if it does not break open the scabbards of its swords,
And if it does not break the sheaths of its swords,
