My infatuation with him, and my hatred of his father.

He tempted me with his love, though his father hates me.

سامني القرب من أبيه وبغضي

لأبيه أشدّ من حبيهِ

لأبيه أشدّ من حبيهِ

He required me to draw near his father, though my hatred

He demanded that I draw near to his father, though my hatred

He brought me close, though his father despises me -

For his father is fiercer than my love for him.

For his father is stronger than my love for him.

My hatred for his father is stronger than my love for him!

لي موتان من هوى ذا ومن بغ

ضي لهذا فليس لي من شبيهِ

Two deaths are mine: from loving this one, and from my ha—

My hatred for that one; so there is no one like me.

And hating his father - I have no equal in this!
