اسقني إن سقيتني بالكبير

إنّ في شربه تمام السرور

إنّ في شربه تمام السرور

Give me drink—if you would give me drink—from the large cup;

Give me drink, if you give me drink, from the large cup.

Give me the large cup if you would give me drink,

for drinking from it brings joy to its fullness.

Indeed, in drinking from it lies the fullness of joy.

For in its draught is perfect pleasure found.

أنا واللّه لست أكذبكم آ

نفُ من أنْ أُرَى صريع صغير

نفُ من أنْ أُرَى صريع صغير

By God, I am not lying to you: I

I, by God, am not lying to you—I

By God, I do not lie to you in this -

disdain being seen laid low by a little cup.

disdain being seen felled by a small cup.

My soul disdains to see a petty flask.
