مكتئب ذو كبد حرَّى
تبكيweeps عليهover him مقلةan eye عَبْرَىtearful
تبكي عليه مقلة عَبْرَى
A sorrowing man, his liver burning,
Dejected, with a burning liver,
a tear-filled eye weeps for him.
A tearful eye weeps over him.
يرفعhe raises يمناهhis right hand إلىto رِّبهِhis Lord
يرفع يمناه إلى رِّبهِ
يدعوhe prays وفوقand over الكبدthe liver الأُخرَىthe other (hand)
يدعو وفوق الكبد الأُخرَى
He raises his right hand to his Lord,
He raises his right hand to his Lord.
praying, while the other rests over his liver.
He prays, his other hand over his liver.
