The winds blow, and there is no escape.

For the land of the Quiver does not play games.

is springs that give and never run dry.

by the fire of humiliation, they do not fear.

And the people of Egypt are nothing but a story

written by the pens of our glories.

So too is our nation: its heart

is sound, and its mettle is good.

And within it are peoples who, through their Islam,

gain dignity and drink from its spring.

the hand of love—unless those rulers wreak ruin.

    They soften their flanks when

rights are safeguarded and not taken away.

if they do not betray and do not plunder.

Peoples whose dignity is a pearl,

so it is neither violated nor pierced.

    Peoples whose feelings are sweet,

and the wellspring of their faith is sweeter.

They love calm and are content with it,

and its verdant garden delights them.

    But when they are scorned

and denied their rights among humankind,

here the peoples become an ember,

    set ablaze, its fire blazing.

and O spreading tree whose garden is fertile,

in a sun of justice that never sets.

It is truth—a dawn in whose light

    our nation's nightingales rejoice.

When justice spreads through a nation,

its stature rises, and the vessel is saved.
