وإليكَ أهدى حُبَّهُ وتودَّدا

O heart with two lights, satisfaction

with God grant you the most glorious station.

حتى الملائك تستحي لمَّا ترى

وجهاً كريما بالحياءِ تودَّدا

وجهاً كريما بالحياءِ تودَّدا

Even the angels feel shy when they see

a noble face that showed affection through modesty.

في روضِ جودكَ يا ابن عفان التقى

كرمٌ وإخلاصٌ وفيكَ توحَّدا

In the garden of your bounty, O son of Affan, there met

للمَال في يدك الكريمة موقعٌ

للمَال في يدك الكريمة موقعٌ

ويظلُّ قلبكَ عن ثرائكَ أبعدا

Wealth has a place in your generous hand,

For money in your generous hand there is a place

yet your heart remains far removed from your riches.

While your heart remains far from your wealth.

لله درُّكَ أيها الشَّهم الذي

لله درُّكَ أيها الشَّهم الذي

بسخائه وبجودهِ بلغ المدى

بسخائه وبجودهِ بلغ المدى

God be praised for you, O noble-hearted man who

May God bless you, O noble one who

through his generosity and bounty reached the utmost limit.

With his generosity and benevolence reached the furthest extent.

بايعتَ في الرضوان بيعة غائبٍ

بايعتَ في الرضوان بيعة غائبٍ

مدَّ الرسول لخالقها اليدا

مدَّ الرسول لخالقها اليدا

You pledged allegiance at Ridwan as one absent;

شرفٌ وربك يا ابن عفان ارتقى

بكَ في المكارمِ و المفاخرِ سيدا

An honor, by your Lord, O son of Affan, exalted

you as a master of noble deeds and glorious achievements.

With you in merits and pride the master.

تلميذ مدرسة النبوة ، أنه

لأعزَّ مدرسةٍ تعلمنا الهدى

لأعزَّ مدرسةٍ تعلمنا الهدى

Pupil of the school of prophethood—it is

A disciple of the school of prophecy, he

indeed the most esteemed school that teaches us guidance.

Of the most honorable school taught us guidance.
