    O Kawthar, from whom the ships of generosity have begun

    to sail upon the sea of giving; al-Judi has not moored them.

    And noble one, whose virtues are still recounted,

    who has thus become peerless in this age, the best of all who exist.

    Debt has weighed down my back, and the creditor is at

    my door, repeatedly returning with rebukes and threats.

    وإنّ ضيفي فيه غير مفقود

    And indeed I am truly indebted, and this is Rajab;

    and indeed my guest is not absent in it.

    If your wealth is bounty, with no zakat due on it,

    then grant us some of the zakat of glory and generosity.
