She has built this finely wrought, lofty, sturdy edifice—

She built this strong, lofty, firm edifice

Aisha Khamin, a woman of faith, mother of the believers,

Aisha Khaman, the pious mother of the faithful

زوجة المنصور مولانا إمام المؤمنين

زوجة المنصور مولانا إمام المؤمنين

عمر الباشا أبو الخطّاب ذو الدين المتين

عمر الباشا أبو الخطّاب ذو الدين المتين

wife of the victorious one, our lord, imam of the believers,

Wife of Mansur our Master, Imam of the faithful

Umar Pasha, Abu al-Khattab, possessed of steadfast faith,

Umar Pasha Abu al-Khattab, the steadfast in religion

وابنة المرحوم مولانا أبي المجد الوزير

وابنة المرحوم مولانا أبي المجد الوزير

أحمد الأفعال والأعمال والعقل المكين

أحمد الأفعال والأعمال والعقل المكين

and daughter of our late lord, Abu al-Majd, the vizier,

And daughter of the late our Master, the Minister

Ahmad—praiseworthy in deeds and works, steadfast of mind.

Ahmad the deeds, actions and sound mind

جدّدت ذا الجامع الخاوي بتكرار السنين

جدّدت ذا الجامع الخاوي بتكرار السنين

وبنته ببناء لم يكن في السالفين

وبنته ببناء لم يكن في السالفين

She renewed this mosque, left desolate by the passing years,

She renewed this neglected mosque after years

and built it in a fashion unknown among those of old.

And built it with a construction unprecedented

خلّد اللَه لها الملك علينا بسرور وهنا

خلّد اللَه لها الملك علينا بسرور وهنا

وحباهغ كلّ خير بالرفاء والبنين

وحباهغ كلّ خير بالرفاء والبنين

May God perpetuate her rule over us in joy and bliss,

May God immortalize for her the kingdom over us with joy and bliss

and grant her every blessing, with harmony and sons.

And grant her all good with prosperity and children

وبدار الخلد أعلى قدرها فوق النسا

وبدار الخلد أعلى قدرها فوق النسا

جاعلاً منزلها قرب نساء المرسلين

جاعلاً منزلها قرب نساء المرسلين

And in the abode of eternity, may He raise her rank above other women,

And in the eternal house elevate her status above all women

placing her dwelling near the wives of the messengers.

زال عنها السوء فرداً والتُّقى أنشد في تاريخه

زال عنها السوء فرداً والتُّقى أنشد في تاريخه

فاق بالجنة باني بيت ربّ العالمين

فاق بالجنة باني بيت ربّ العالمين

May evil alone depart from her; and Piety recited its chronogram:

Evil has vanished from her, piety is celebrated in its date

The builder of the house of the Lord of the worlds excelled in Paradise.

It surpassed Paradise, the builder of the House of the Lord of the Worlds
